For many years private lands logging has been in the news and people have been curious about the impacts to the land. Sometimes the impacts are beneficial when fire and fuels are reduced, yet sometimes private lands logging leads to mudslides, flooding, property damage, increased fire risk and loss of wildlife habitat.

This website was created with the latest in Google imaging technologies and mapping utilities to provide an overview of the Timber Harvest Plan (THP) process. We provide both a graphical overview of every THP and a detailed look at each THP with downloadable Google Earth files. The idea is to make it easy for you to see where private lands logging is occurring in relation to where you live. Since logging can have a large impact on the quality of water we drink, the air we breathe, and the animal, plant and fish communities around us, we feel it is important for people to become more aware.
